Muslims were in the minority in Faridabad, but Mutalib and Hashmi’s influence was so great that the Hindus there used to call the Muslims of Faridabad and especially the members of Hashmi’s family “Mian Ji” and “Maulvi Sahib”.
The truth is that it was the charisma of Iqbal of every three brothers that in a small town like Faridabad, the flag of the Muslim League was waved by Mr. Hashmi and hymns were recited. Thus, this small land of Faridabad resounded with slogans like “Long live the Muslim League, Quaid-e-Azam, Urdu language” and “We will carry Pakistan”.
After the evening prayers, a grand meeting was held at the Jama Masjid in Faridabad. Apart from the worshipers, most of the Muslims of Faridabad were sitting side by side.
After the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, I read a stanza from Iqbal’s famous poem “Tolo-e-Islam”, “God’s hand of power, you are the language”. Coincidentally, I misread a poem.

The next morning, all the workers planted the Muslim League flag in Faridabad and left for Delhi. Hashmi Sahib, Abu Tamim and some people from Faridabad came to drop us off at the bus stop.
