Actor Tariq Malik of Shehra Afaq drama 'Guest House' has passed away






RAWALPINDI: Actor Tariq Malik of Pakistan Television (PTV) ‘s memorable drama’ Guest House ‘has passed away in Rawalpindi.


According to details, actor Tariq Malik, who played the role of waiter Murad in the memorable drama ‘Guest House’ aired on PTV in the nineties, died of a heart attack.


Actor Afzal Khan wrote in an Instagram post, “My guest house fellow artist Tariq Malik has passed away.”




Tariq Malik from Rawalpindi continued to work in radio, stage and television and gained fame in 1991 as a guest house character.


He is also known for voicing Bawaji in Radio Pakistan’s Jamhurni Awaaz program.



It may be recalled that the PTV drama Guest House had set a record of popularity in its time in which the problems faced by the passengers were presented.


One of Murad’s characters in the play, “Tip Tip Karta Mein Kamre Aata Hoon” was also very popular.



The play was directed by Rauf Khalid, who also directed some of the most popular dramas like Log, Angar Wadi.
