The Pakistani cinema industry receives up-to two to three movies on every Eid. This Eid-Ul-Adha, three films were released namely Superstart, Parey Hut Love, and Heer Maan Jaa.
But who won the crown at the box office? According to official figures, Superstar was ahead of both the films with Parey Hut Love coming at second and Heer Maan Ja at third.
But this time around, the collections were fairly disappointed according to cinema watchdogs compared to Eid-Ul-Fitr and last year.
Here are the official collections of the three movies from This Eid.
Superstar
The Mahira Khan starer film was able to collect Rs. 40 million on the first two days of release. This was the largest collection this Eid from all the films released.
Parey Hut Love
Maya Ali starer was able to bring in Rs. 10.8 million during its first two days of release, putting it about 30 million below Superstar.
Heer Maan Jaa
The Hareem Farooq starer film was just behind Paray Hut Love with a collection of 10.6 million on the first two days.
Although the stakeholders in the three films were generally happy with the collection, they all agreed that the films were unable to collect as much as other films did on last Eid.
According to experts, the three films combined will not be able to surpass the collection of films released on Eid-ul-Fitr. The producers and the team of the three films are hoping for a better collection in the upcoming weekends.
